In this single player expansion to the original World in Conflict the player assumes the role of Lieutenant Romanov, an officer in the Soviet Army under the command of Colonel Vladimir Orlovsky. 

Colonel Orlovsky also commands his own nephew, the idealistic Captain Nikolai Malashenko and old friend and jaded colleague, Major Lebedjev, a KGB officer attached to the battalion. The new missions are weaved into the existing single player campaign and serves to present the war from both sides.
